Mission Statement
To unite the worldwide Gallagher community, preserve and share our collective heritage, and support individuals in discovering their place in the ongoing Gallagher story.

About the Organisation

The Gallagher Clan Organisation was established in 2005 to serve and support the worldwide community of Gallaghers and those connected with the name.

Our Aims

The organisation was established to:

  • Unite the worldwide community of Gallaghers, including those with variant forms of the name
  • Explore and document all relevant sources that record Gallagher activity through the ages
  • Build a family history resource to help individuals locate their own place — and that of their forebears — in the wider Gallagher story
  • Carry out any activities necessary to further these aims

Clan Gatherings & Cooperation

We also aim to:

  • Facilitate local clan gatherings within geographic regions, as well as worldwide gatherings
  • Associate with other clans to further shared clan objectives

An Open Door

The door is open to all Gallaghers, and to those with family associations with the Gallagher name.

You are very welcome.
We hope we can help you — and we ask for your help in return — so that together we can grow the organisation and better carry out our aims for the good of all.

How You Can Contribute

The Clan Committee warmly invites everyone to contribute their knowledge of all things Gallagher, including:

  • Personal or family stories
  • Local history connected with the Gallagher name
  • Research into individual Gallaghers
  • Events in which Gallaghers may have been — or are — involved
  • Any other facet of the global Gallagher heritage

We are interested not only in the famous or infamous — and there have been a few over the years — but also in the lives and times of all our people.

Submissions & Heritage Collection

The Committee also welcomes:

  • Articles and news items for publication on the website
  • Items and artefacts for the heritage collection
  • Contributions to our library, especially (but not limited to) books on individual family history

  • Donate or loan books, documents, or artefacts
  • Help organise or participate in local or regional gatherings
  • Encourage other Gallaghers and relatives to take part
